Dear friends. The presentation below allows you have a look at the blog and learn mote about the materials posted here.
During the lesson Consumerism 12th grade students expressed their opinions on the things they need/want or both, on the core values of theirs and gave reasons. They also commented on the survey about their shopping habits and agreed that the most important things we need are not bought with money, but are created by ourselves. Thank you for your creativity and hard work. On February 17th a group of students from our lyceum had a debate on "To what extent do people, especially students enjoy their rights in the Republic of Moldova?" The debate was held during the regional seminar of English teachers by a group of students from 11th and 12th grade. Students focused mostly on 3 rights: to education, to freedom of speech and to having a job. The teachers also were very active during the debate and asked students many questions and shared their opinions on the topic. It was a very useful, informative and educational meeting. Thanks to all the participants.
The seminar with the participation of regional English teachers included a presentation of on-line tools both teachers and students might use to facilitate the teaching/learning process. We discussed the benefits of the blog for both teachers and students, analyzed some tools, such as e-portfolio, flipped class, PBL, Voicethread and some students' posts.
Today we had a really useful Skype lesson with our mentor April Salerno. She kindly answered all the questions the students asked and talked about life and the educational system in the USA. We thank April for being with us and I invite the students to write as comments what they have found out. I discovered that there are so called "helicopter" parents in the USA. By the way, they are here, too. |
